In the distance, the Prince could hear voices and muffled sounds.
He approached silently, almost floating across the floor.
Desperate groans and the rustling of fabric filled his ears, along with the twin sounds of rapidly beating hearts. He could smell their scents, the aromas heightened due to their sexual arousal.
He growled in reaction.
The corridor was shrouded in darkness but the Prince could see that the professor had his wife up against a window between two statues, her legs wrapped around his waist.
Her voice was breathy as she spoke, but the Prince tuned out her words, moving closer so he could catch a glimpse of her lovely face.
At the sight of it, flushed with passion, his old heart quickened and he felt the stirrings of arousal.
It was not his custom to observe rather than participate. But on this occasion, he decided to make an exception. Careful to remain in the darkness, he moved to the wall opposite the couple.
The woman squirmed in her lover’s arms, her high heels catching on his tuxedo jacket. Her fingers flew to his neck, undoing his bow tie and tossing it carelessly to the floor.
She unbuttoned his shirt, and her mouth moved to his chest, as murmurs of pleasure escaped his lips.
The Prince felt more than desire as he watched the woman’s eager movements. He caught a glimpse of her exquisite mouth and the toss of her long hair that would no doubt feel like silk between his fingers.
She lifted her head to smile at the man who held her close and he could see love in her eyes.

~*MY REVIEW*~

do you know? how you feel when you read a book then you don’t know what to say? and if you
want to say something then you will give away everything because you can’t stop talking about it? but then if you’ve been asked to write about it… then you would back to the state of not knowing what to say, or in this case, write again?

okay… calm down… breath…

This story will be the opening of a new series of the Florentine by Sylvain Reynard, and while introducing new characters, we get to meet the Emersons couple, Professor Gabriel and his lovely wife, Julia… :D

I just can’t get enough of them, makes me want to reread the Gabriel’s series again…

The Prince is a leader of … I don’t know… I’m guessing they are vampire, but I can be wrong, it seems that they used to be human, but now they are immortal…

The illustrations of Dante’s Divine Comedy of Botticelli, which the Emersons share in the Uffizi Gallery, actually belong to the Prince of Florence… and they have been taken from his possession from a long long time a go, and until now the Prince cannot tell who behind the thievery…

Since the Emersons have them, then the Prince wants to punish them and retrieve his illustrations back…

Lucky for the Emersons, by a twist of fate, they can get away from the Prince.
There is an assassination attempt to the Prince, and the war that ensued between the underworlds of Florence and Venice had kept him occupied since then…

But will they always be safe? Since Florence is one of their favourite city in the world and has given them so many good memories, where they will always come back to…

I think we just can always pray for them…

Get your copy of The Prince and The Raven soon… because once you get to know Mr. Sylvain Reynard's book... they you'll be captivated and never get enough of his story... ;-)

Wishful Wednesday #21

Happy New Year... yay! new books for the new year... many up coming books to read... and now I wish for this one...

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr - a Goodreads Choice 2014 Winner

Marie Laure lives with her father in Paris within walking distance of the Museum of Natural History where he works as the master of the locks (there are thousands of locks in the museum). When she is six, she goes blind, and her father builds her a model of their neighborhood, every house, every manhole, so she can memorize it with her fingers and navigate the real streets with her feet and cane. When the Germans occupy Paris, father and daughter flee to Saint-Malo on the Brittany coast, where Marie-Laure's agoraphobic great uncle lives in a tall, narrow house by the sea wall.

In another world in Germany, an orphan boy, Werner, grows up with his younger sister, Jutta, both enchanted by a crude radio Werner finds. He becomes a master at building and fixing radios, a talent that wins him a place at an elite and brutal military academy and, ultimately, makes him a highly specialized tracker of the Resistance. Werner travels through the heart of Hitler Youth to the far-flung outskirts of Russia, and finally into Saint-Malo, where his path converges with Marie-Laure.

2015

well, new years should be about new targets and new challenges... I hope I will met mine this year...

1. Reading Challenge
- 2015 Reading Challenge Goodreads : 70 books (decreased from previous year :D)
- New Author Reading Challenge 2015 - not yet announce but Ren said she will host again with new rules

- Personal Reading Challenge
I want to read more on classic books... and targeting at least 1 book a month... not necessarily classic, but most of them...

12. The Yearling by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings

- (maybe) Hosting Around the World Reading Challenge... but I definitely in the challenge

2. Improving my writing in English
3. Write short stories

well... I guess I shouldn't give too many challenges or end up not meeting any of them... :D

Happy New Year every one... hope you have a very good year!
