Supernova: Gelombang (Supernova #5) by Dee Lestari

Supernova: Gelombang (Supernova #5)
by Dee Lestari

Paperback, 492 pages
Published October 17th 2014 by Bentang Pustaka

zzeezzz… it's going to be tough… writing this review… i know that a lot of people out there very much in love with this book… i do too… don't be wrong… it's just that it's not like what i'm expecting… though i didn't expected that much… and actually i didn't know what i was expecting… i just felt… this should be better… i know… i sound absolutely absurd… >.<

anyway… after a while… i guess i knew where the thing that made me not like this book very very very much, like i intended too…

padahal… di Partikel, i feel amazed with the way Dee told the story about mushroom… dan hubungannya dengan alien dan lain2…

tapi… di buku ini aku mau protes… kenapa cerita hidup Alfa dibikin terasa "sangat mudah"… iyaa… tau Alfa worked hard for everything he earns… he never sleeps… tapi…
hihi… i know… aku terlalu banyak protes…

mungkin terlalu awal untuk menilai buku ini… bisa jadi kan… karena the whole picture is not ready yet…

dan karena itu… Dee Lestari, i think still the best Indonesian author for series books…

based on all the reasons and consideration, i gave this book 4 out of 5 stars which are shining bright in the sleepless nights of Alfa Sagala…

ps. sebenernya pengen ngebahas tentang latar belakang Alfa yang orang Batak, tapi ntar dibilang rasialis… jadi gak dulu deh… hihi… cuma penasaran… selain Marcell orang Batak yang tinggi, ganteng, hitam manis… siaaapppaaa yaaaa…. :D

These Broken Stars (Starbound #1)

It's a night like any other on board the Icarus. Then, catastrophe strikes: the massive luxury spaceliner is yanked out of hyperspace and plummets into the nearest planet. Lilac LaRoux and Tarver Merendsen survive. And they seem to be alone.

Lilac is the daughter of the richest man in the universe. Tarver comes from nothing, a young war hero who learned long ago that girls like Lilac are more trouble than they’re worth. But with only each other to rely on, Lilac and Tarver must work together, making a tortuous journey across the eerie, deserted terrain to seek help.

Then, against all odds, Lilac and Tarver find a strange blessing in the tragedy that has thrown them into each other’s arms. Without the hope of a future together in their own world, they begin to wonder—would they be better off staying here forever?

Everything changes when they uncover the truth behind the chilling whispers that haunt their every step. Lilac and Tarver may find a way off this planet. But they won’t be the same people who landed on it.

This Shattered World (Starbound #2)

Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac should never have met.

Lee is captain of the forces sent to Avon to crush the terraformed planet's rebellious colonists, but she has her own reasons for hating the insurgents.

Rebellion is in Flynn's blood. Terraforming corporations make their fortune by recruiting colonists to make the inhospitable planets livable, with the promise of a better life for their children. But they never fulfilled their promise on Avon, and decades later, Flynn is leading the rebellion.

Desperate for any advantage in a bloody and unrelentingly war, Flynn does the only thing that makes sense when he and Lee cross paths: he returns to base with her as prisoner. But as his fellow rebels prepare to execute this tough-talking girl with nerves of steel, Flynn makes another choice that will change him forever. He and Lee escape the rebel base together, caught between two sides of a senseless war.

Moon in The Spring by Hyun Go Wun

Moon in The Spring
by Hyun Go Wun

paperback, 405 pages
Published September 25th 2014 by Penerbit Haru

"Dewi, tolong kabulkan satu permintaanku. Aku mohon Dewi untuk memanusiakan orang itu." Wanita itu mengatakannya sambil menatap Dal-Hee. Sekrang ia sudah siap untuk pergi.
"Tadi kau bilang kalau kau tidak menyukainya?"
"Memang. Aku sangat membencinya." Ji-Wan menggeleng. Jawabannya terdengar tegas sekali.

kesan-kesan pembaca…

q. jadi bagaimana akhirnya?
a. hhhmmm… pastinya happy ending lah…

q. koq gitu sih tanggapannya, gak antusias gitu….

over-all sih… ceritanya bagus… sedikit agak biasa… tapi aku suka idenya…

Dal-Hee/Ji-Wan, menurutku kadang agak terkesan cuek… tapi bagusnya jadi gak terlalu emosional…

eh sorry, jadi keterusan ngomong sendiri…

q. hehe… gak pa2 sih, terusin aja… :d - so, recommeded gak?
a. untuk aku… buku terjemahan Korea dari Penerbit Haru selalu recommended… hihi… syndrome Haru-nya gak sembuh2… >.<

q. ratingnya?

q. yay! terima kasih wawancaranya…
a. okay… terima kasih Penerbit Haru untuk bukunya… semoga kedepannya masih ditawarin project review buku Penerbit Haru lagi… :D

by Emma Chase

ARC, ebook, 256 pages
Published October 7th, Gallery Books

finally… he's back… Drew is back with his questionable acts… haha… kidding! no… he's waaayy so much better and being a gentleman should be his middle name now… ;-)

yes, as you can see in the gorgeous cover, this book will tell you about the wedding of Drew Evans and Kate Brooks…
if Drew can pass his last test before the altar…

the Bachelor party and the merriment…

do you think he can?
well… you're right, we can always have a reasonable doubt about him… well, actually he has me worried all the way almost till the end of the book about what happen to him…

it's good for him that he said at the front, this will happily ever after ending… but still… you don't worry if you don't know Drew… but i knew him, therefore i have right to be worried… :d

it's funny, it's fun… it's touchy, it's beautiful…
if you have started with Tangled, you should finish with this one… then you can see how Drew is transforming to become a better person…
though… i guess i kind of miss Drew the way he was before, the boyish, the easy guy kind of thing… now… i knew he's became more mature… but he tended to make order around, if you know what i mean…

and one thing i missed for sure… i don't get to know how Drew proposed to Kate… i want to know, if he is threaten Kate, he'll jump the cliff if Kate don't yes to marry him or what… :D
actually... i knew already, we need to pre-order to get the scene... ouch... ;-)

thank you Ms. Emma Chase for making this beautiful ending for an extraordinary story with new kind of romance perspective, yes, guys can also be romantic… ;-)

and for you guys, readers from Indonesia, it seems that Drew Evans has business here, he once traveled to Indonesia… maybe it's good if we wish that someday Ms. Emma Chase will actually visiting us here…

come see Indonesia yourself Ms. Emma Chase, you'll love it here!!

i gave the book 4 out of 5 shinning stars in the blue-black sky...

[RELEASE DAY] Seeds of Iniquity (In the Company of Killers, #4) by J.A. Redmerski

The first book in the series, KILLING SARAI, will be on sale for a limited time for $1.99 (Kindle and Nook) starting October 1st.

Adult Crime/Suspense/Mystery

Released October 1, 2014

Victor Faust’s new Order is growing. Business is good as there is no rest for the wicked in an underground world of hardcore criminals and contract killing. Relationships among the operatives have changed little over the past year—but things are about to change now, and all six high-ranking members of the new Order will be blindsided by an unlikely enemy.

Loved ones whose only ties to Victor’s organization are their relationships with its members, are abducted. The price to get them back safely—the six must confess their deepest, darkest secret to this mysterious young woman named Nora, who is as deadly as she is beautiful, and who seems to know more about each of them than they know about each other. And although no one has any clue about who Nora really is, it becomes clear that she also isn’t who she appears to be.

So much more is at stake than secrets and the lives of innocent loved ones; with each member that Nora forces to confess, the truth about their dark pasts and their present objectives will cast suspicion, pit some against each other, and may tear others apart.

Before the game is over everyone will know who this woman is and why she is here, but the damage she will leave in her wake could be the beginning of the new Order’s destruction.

Whose dark secret will be the darkest of all? And can Victor’s Order survive any of them?

IMPORTANT NOTE: SEEDS OF INIQUITY is NOT a prequel about Fredrik Gustavsson as previously stated. It is a brand new present day book.
