Summary

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away

My Review

this is not just another romance story for me... this is where i'm lost in the character, Mia especially...

one question about books that i found hard to answer, if you are a character in a book, who would you be?

i've never attached to a character before this, but i really thought that Mia is really close to me, therefore i can really feel her...

not that my life's story the same as Mia's, just that i can't stop thinking.. ALL... THE TIME... i think i also can hear my brain gear's clicking...

but i guess no body would turn off the chance to meet a handsome Frenchman and get to visit Paris for the summer... that would be the dream of my life... eerrr... without the handsome Frenchman is OK... just visiting Paris would be nice... hihi... or my husband would kicked me on the ass for that matter...

i love Mia's adventure to explore Paris by herself, i hope someday, i can walk where she walked... especially to visit Jardin des Plantes and see Poppies by my own eyes :D

this is a little bit of Jardin des Plantes, is it lovely?

these things about French and Paris were all really amused me, i think i can imagine the wonder, though i don't think my imagination would be the same as if i'd be there my self, i used to learn French, and i missed it so much while i read this book, i think French is very difficult for me, but i think even though i won't catch a thing when a Frenchman talking to me, i would love to hear one talk love to me... i think it's super romantic...

i really love the book, i understand we tend to be spontaneous when we're emotional.. i just wish Mia would open up more to Ansel, or vice-versa, and have discussion first before deciding anything... they're married after all... and they should have known of their feeling to each other better...

although i'm glad with everything happened in the end...

this is my first book of Christina Lauren, and i just happen to know that actually they're 2 persons... i hope i'd find someone who can share my thought for writing too... ;-)

i think i might want to read their other books... they're awesome :D

thanks for the beautiful story xoxo

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.
